The first full week of May starting on a Sunday is our designated National Pet Week. With April 30th specified as Adopt a Pet Shelter Day, what could be more perfect a time to do just that!
Probably the best way to honor pets and to change a pet’s life is adoption to their forever home. Whether you prefer a feathered friend, a swimming pod, a cat, or a dog, see my post on “How to Change a Pet’s Life“. That issue has a bit of info on each pet type mentioned.
Ask yourself some questions about pet adoption working for your lifestyle. See “Pet Adoption – Is It For You?”. To help make up your mind read through “Pet Adoption Questions” to note the many needs to which you will be obligating yourself.
If you decide you would enjoy a furry friend to welcome you home, or a swimmer to admire, or a feathered buddy to sit on your shoulder, see some great resource information in “Adopt a Pet!” And add the Cat’s Meow Cat Rescue in Gladstone, Oregon if you decide to get a snuggly kitty.
Whatever type of pet you choose, know there are many to meet and select to be part of your family. Because ‘family’ is what they become.
