Many good quality, USA-made and sourced pet bedding products are available to choose for safe and long lasting use. There are quite a few pet products promoted on Facebook and I have found that the majority come from foreign countries and not a few from China. Manufacturers enjoy less cost in materials and ingredients in overall manufacturing costs outside of the United States. Here we impose much stricter safety standards and regulations on our manufacturers to safeguard ourselves and our animals.
Great Reasons for buying USA
- Our stricter quality and safety standards and regulations for materials and ingredients in our pet food. Our FDA.org site sends out many recall notices, ie, for samonella contamination, or improper ingredient labelling, or toxic ingredients, to alert us to particular brand batches being recalled.
- Without these regulations, materials in our products can harm us and our animals, ie, asbestos problems, lead in paint, melamine in pet food, etc.
- In buying USA-made and sourced products, we provide good support for our local farmers and local workers employed by our USA product manufacturers.
- In the long run our USA products save us dollars. Why? Because they last longer because of our quality controls and safety standards.
- Our citizens are better informed with our manufacturers being required to disclose the contents of their products, unlike foreign countries.
- More dollars are kept circulating in our country. Good for all of us.
- Using USA products makes it easier to hold suppliers accountable.
Let’s take a look at some USA-made and sourced pet bedding to benefit your best pet friends with fall and winter coming up in the not too distant future!
Best Pet Bedding by Review Sites
I want to stress how much like we humans our pets need a good night’s sleep. I have checked on USA pet bedding products for 2025 through 3 sites for cats, dogs, 2 for birds and 1 for aquarium products. Most of the sites do not specify “USA only” but I will include those that are only USA-made and sourced.
For our Kitties
The New York Times’ Wirecutter, Best Reviews and CatTime.com shared their top cat bed picks for 2025. Unfortunately, they do not specify origin of the products. So in checking carefully out of 25 top picks for felines, the review sites came up with no USA-made and sourced cat beds. The majority appear to be made in China. They did choose The Cat Ball from Washington State and Midwest Homes’ Quiet Time Deluxe Hombre Swirl for crates. These two companies do manufacture in the USA but they source globally.
Not in present reviews, but some great USA-made and sourced companies who make kitty beds are Kuranda of Maryland, Prime Time Petz of Texas, and Purrfect Play of Indiana.
How did they miss this one??
Wirecutter did pick as one of their top…the Cardboard Box!! I’m sure all cats would agree on this one.
For our Doggos
K9 of Mine is one reviewer who does include specific USA-made products. I also included Wirecutter again from the New York Times, and Best Reviews for their 2025 best dog beds. Out of 27 picks overall, K-9 of Mine comes up with 6 great USA dog bed choices, Wirecutter picks no USA dog beds in their top 5, and Best Reviews none as well of their top five are made and sourced in the USA.
K9 picks the Big Barker of Pennsylvania as its number one with its thick sturdy foam construction especially for large and over-sized dogs.
Kuranda dog bed is chosen by K9 for its “chomper proof” material for your tough chewers, and it is elevated. Kuranda is located in Maryland.
Jax and Bones of California is K9’s 4th pick for its cozy, soft velour fabric, and it is washable.
Dog Bed King’s memory foam dog bed is K9 of Mine’s 5th pick. They are located in Illinois and make several sizes with memory foam and bolsters for comfort and good napping.
Next they chose West Paw of Montana for their eco-friendly Nap Time design. It fits well in a crate.
eLuxury’s ultra plush dog bed is their last pick. This is a veteran-owned business in Indiana. The bed comes in your choice of several patterns with thick padding, and is washable.
Only one of K9 of Mine choices was made and sourced in the USA, Majestic Homes, but materials are sourced globally.
For our Feathered Friends
Two sites give us their choices of best birdy perches for 2025: Best Reviews and Spoken.
Of Best Reviews five top bird perch picks, two are USA-made and sourced. The first is Polly’s Pet Products, Inc. of Bonaire, Georgia where the products are both handcrafted and sourced. Below is their edible Tooty Fruity Bee Pollen Perch.
The second is a small parrot play stand from Prevue Pet Products of Illinois.
Interestingly, the Spoken site also picks Prevue Pet Products for two of their choices and is the only manufacturer they have with products both made and sourced in the USA. They also chose the Small Parrot Play Stand with wheels shown above. In addition, Spoken likes Prevue Pet’s Playpen Wood Table Top Cockatiel deluxe.
Fun Swim Decor for our Aquarium Critters
Out of 8 picks by review site Spruce Pets, I could find only one USA-made and sourced aquarium product, excluding artificial plants. That is Caribsea of Florida and their Liferock pictured below. It is said to be of ‘true marine origin with no hitchhikers’.
There are quite a number of USA-made and sourced aquarium product manufacturers including Zillarules.com with some fun decor like that shown below. Also Marineland.com for plants and accessories, API fishcare.com, and ZooMedLabs.com.
Be sure to check out some of the above sites to benefit from our great USA-made and sourced pet products.

Compliments of Big Geek Daddy, enjoy a duck chaos.
And see a paddle boarder save a shark.
One last to watch is about Golden Retrievers and Kittens.
