A Variety of Pet Topics

Since there are a number of things going on in our pet world, I want to introduce a variety of pet topics this week which are mostly unrelated but good to share.

Upcoming Dog Show

First a heads up, if you are a lover of the dog shows, a national dog show broadcast is scheduled for November 25th by the Kennel Club of Philiadelphia. They are very fun to watch!

And on that note on dogs, see this amazing video about a gigantic elephant and a cute dog as best friends: https://smorgasbordinvitation.wordpress.com/2022/10/17/smorgasbord-afternoon-video-sallys-favourites-elephant-and-his-best-friend/.

Changing Your Pet’s Food

Tips on the best way to introduce a new food to your canine or feline furry friends is suggested in an article from Dog Food Advisor. This is something many people do not consider for their pets but one that is most necessary. They don’t mention your kitties, but you can certainly see that it would be good to follow for your feline friends also. So read on for some good info – Dog Food Advisor.

  1. I read someplace that in cats shows, the cats are selected not just for their beauty, but for their behavoir, gentle and calm cats, not rascals like mine. I wonder if it’s the same in dogs shows.

I learned the hard way not to change my cats’ food suddenly but gradually, otherwise they get sick, which is kind of funny, considering they’re feral cats who used to eat from the garbage before they leapt through my first floor window and into my life.
